NIJI AKANNI

He had his academic education at the

Obafemi Awolowo University (B.A) and the University of Ibadan

(M.A), both in Nigeria. His professional training, yielding an MFA in

Screenplay Writing and Film Directing was at the Film & Television

Institute of India, Pune.

Outside his over three decades of professional practice as director,

screenwriter and producer, he has also taught film and video

production at the Nigerian Television Authority TV-College, Jos, the

Redeemer’s University, Ede and Mainframe Film & Media Institute,

Abeokuta. He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in Film Production at

the School of Media and Communications at the Pan Atlantic

University, Ibeju-Lekki as well as a Senior Arts Fellow, teaching film

at the Lead City University, Ibadan.

He co-founded No Gloss Pictures in 2006 and is currently the

company’s Creative Director.
